Hello Georgia and happy Friday! KaraokeAtlanta.net has some exciting changes coming your way! First let me say that because of all of you, the fans of KA.net, our site has grown tremendously...so THANK YOU for helping to make this site successful! Okay, back to business. First off, we have a new feature for DJ's and KJ's called Profile Pages. If you are in the industry and you would like to use KaraokeAtlanta.net as a great sales and marketing tool, please see our kj/dj professionals section. This is going to be a wonderful networking tool for KJ's looking to expand their fans and clients. So take a look and if you guys know of a great KJ or DJ, send them over to us. :-) KaraokeAtlanta.net is proud to announce its involvement with Talent Quest 2012. If you are a KJ or venue who would like to host a contest, you can contact the Georgia Regional Director, Xavier Gomez at 770-896-2375. If you are an interested contestant, please check out www.talentquest.org. This is a really cool contest, with the regional winners flying out to Las Vegas for a week, all expenses paid! We are also in the process of expanding KaraokeAtlanta.net to include a members area and star reviews for venues. This is in the works and I will keep all of you updated with whats going on behind the scenes. We are looking forward to our fans having more input and involvement in the site. If you have an idea for something we could offer, let's chat! Email me at Kat@KaraokeAtlanta.net. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. If you guys go out to sing, tell us about it. Send us your video's and pictures. You may just end up on the site ;-) Happy Singing Never seen anything like it... 08/17/2011
Our team spent some quality time with co-owner Julia and the folks at Tom's Place in Cartersville last night. This is a cute little place and the karaoke set up is amazing! Perry and Theresa Glasgow with Wild Horse Entertainment has the newest technology when it comes to running a karaoke show, The Karaoke Kiosk. I cannot even explain it, all I can say is that it is digital and customizable to fit each singer. You can change the key of your song, choose which one you want to sing when you get on stage and have your own personal playlist when you sign into the system. As far as we know, this is the only group using this technology in the state of Georgia. We all had a very good time and Tom's Place was very welcoming! Thanks for a great night!! Kat signing off... Lebuzz Karaoke...Workin' it! 08/09/2011
KaraokeAtlanta.net showed ourselves at LeBuzz Showbar in Marietta tonight. Talk about a place that treated us right! The KJ, Kevin Antionette, definitely worked it...on the dance floor and the microphone. LeBuzz was nice enough to buy the whole KaraokeAtlanta.net table a round of drinks. I think they know the secret to keep us coming back! The karaoke was great, with a very unique set up and HUGE dance floor and lots of great lighting. I could not say anything bad about this night, other than it had to end. KaraokeAtlanta.net will be back, but this time we will bring the gifts! ;-) Stay Fab, Kat Oohhh That face 07/31/2011
Went to Faces Lounge tonight in Marietta, GA. A diverse group of people, I tell ya! KaraokeAtlanta.net was a hit, at least in my mind we were! Met many new faces and saw some familiar faces...Is this why they call this bar faces? Okay, cheesy for sure, but let me tell you that they had a contest there, a ticket drawing to be exact...I ended up with a vodka t-shirt. It will make a very fine painting shirt! I still have bragging rights though-I was the only one at our table who won anything. I sang Missy Elliot's "Work It" AGAIN! So I love singing that song, but does anyone have any suggestions on what other great songs that I should learn? The night, well, went spectacular! These late nights are gonna catch up with me at some point. It's just so rewarding telling people about the website and then see it in the Stats. It's a good feeling to know that somehow, in a very small way, KaraokeAtlanta.net can help people find a good place for entertainment! This is Kathy signing off.... Goodnight folks. Life is a Cabaret, so you better Work It ;-) 07/28/2011
KaraokeAtlanta.net headed out tonight to Sidelines in Canton, GA. One of our favorite places to go for Karaoke, mainly for the diverse crowd and the awesome KJ, Tommy Cage. We met so many people tonight, including Ricky Free, a great musician. I checked out his website and LOVE his music. Our good friend's Robert and Daryl were there. Daryl had quite a big crew with him. Everyone had such a great time and we definitely closed the place down! Kami's rendition of Liza's "Cabaret" and my rendition of Missy Elliot's "Work It" seemed to really work the crowd! LOL We should be heading out this weekend.....location TBA, so watch for the Facebook & Twitter posts. Until then, keep on singing! Much Love as Always! Kat We have not the luck of the Irish... 06/24/2011
So we were going to go to Paddy's Pub & Eatery in Kennesaw last night, but after some general confusion and my sister locking the keys in her truck. we finally got rescued by a helpful friend and made our way to Bodock's Bar & Grill in Canton instead. The crowd was light, but the singing and the environment were great as always. I would have some pics from the night, but my camera's batteries died too! Lol, so close to an epic fail, but we had a great time anyways. Hopefully better luck next time out. Tonight is Sidelines in Canton, so we will see how that goes! Stay Fabulous! Kat My Dearest Karaoke 06/23/2011
Dear Karaoke, You are the greatest sport in Atlanta and probably the world (OK you are not really a sport, but if you were, the Olympics would be a lot more entertaining). You give me the chance to express myself, rock a crowd and just have a great time with a bunch of other people who like to sing. People that are into you are the least judgmental people out there. It doesn't matter how good you are at singing; it just matters how good your friends think you are! ;-) Its all about fun and all about coming together on any given night to throw your name into the rotation and claim your 5 minutes of fame. So thank you Karaoke, for always making me feel like a superstar! Your Biggest Fan, Kat |
